Pulmonary and Critical Care, Staff Clinician (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Description

UCLA Health is seeking a dedicated Staff Clinician to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine within the Department of Medicine. This role focuses on the inpatient management of critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at UCLA-Santa Monica Hospital.

Position Overview:

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of critically ill patients in the UCLA-Santa Monica ICU.
  • Manage patients with complex conditions, including circulatory shock, respiratory failure, multi-organ failure, hematologic emergencies, post-operative complications, and other critical illnesses.
  • Perform and oversee invasive procedures, including central line placement, dialysis catheter placement, arterial line placement, intubation, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and bronchoscopy, as per privileges.
  • Provide critical care consultation throughout the hospital during assigned shifts.

The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide an estimate of the salary range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based on candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is 142,100.00-348,100.00 annual base salary. 

Shifts are currently from 5 PM – 7 AM, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, subject to change based on institutional needs. Part-time and full-time positions are available. 

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • ABIM Board Eligible/Certified in Critical Care Medicine or Pulmonary Care Medicine
  • A Medical Degree
